Totally subbed. It's going to be hard for me to be impartial through this build off. I just love these old CB's. Good luck bud. I'm honestly looking forward to this build.
she's barely 5 feet tall. Can't fit on most bikes without feeling uncomfortable. The swingarm is to located the axle and help keep everything strait.
I may or may not use eccentric axle adjusters. Depending on how much time i have to work on it.
this /\ guy did very similar to what i'm doing. IMO it's the right way to hard tail.
This \/never looks right to me, Just too busy and "hackish" ...IMO...
(leaving the original perimeter around the back of the engine and sprocket cover)
Very cool. How much do those cbr250 wheels weigh? I'm using cbr f2 wheels and they're pretty heavy. Those are a similar style to the f2s. Looks great BTW
these are much thinner than f2 wheels.I was going to use them for my supermoto, but decided to lace up some spokes instead. I bet they don't weigh much.
So a small, low bike eh? From what I gather, a good HT build can be really light, too. Light, low C.O.G ... keep the stock rake, and it should flick like crazy!
Nobody believe how well my old chopper handled. It was a plunger, rather than rigid, but same thing basically. Finally got my bud Eric to ride it and he admitted his surprise.
Seriously miss that bike. So glad to see a rigid build on here.
Not to criticize, but do you think the vrod light is the right one? Guess I should wait until more of the bike materializes before I say anything about the light, just never been a fan... at least yet.
i liked the vrod on my kz. I made a simple mount to keep the "older" look but not to overshadow it's twist on a plain round headlight. Though it may not look right, we will see.
So what kind of ergo's is she looking for? I've met that lil thing you call wife and unless she's gonna sleep on the tank you're gonna need some hella pullback on the bars, aren't ya?
