Default KongBastard's 89 CBR600

89 CBR600 that I have been working on for a while. It doesn't compare to most of the project bikes here but its my ride so I thought I would show it off a little.

I shortened the pipe and dumped the front stock fairing. Mounted a couple of projector lights from an older Supra in a bracket I made up. I built a bit of a windscreen around that (still not sure about that part). Trimmed the plastics, etc.

Forgive the mess in the garage. I am a lazy bastard

Comments welcome but may be ignored.

I like the windscreen...I say do something with the tail and it could look pretty good imo.

Bikeless SHAME...but my eyes are peeled for Slingy, B12, Gixx 2k+, Z1k, or a Buell

It is a brass hose splice fitting (not sure what it is really called). It is about an inch long and has ridges on the outside. The outside diameter is 3/8 inch. The inside diameter is about the same as the original fittings on the oil cooler so the flow should be about the same as stock.

Some sort of tail work is planned but I am not sure yet what it will be. I may bob it but I am not 100% sold on that style yet.

Been too busy/broke to do the work that I wanted to do on the CBR but thought I should post an update.

Riding season came early this year - yeehaw!

A little bit of paint on the frame and swingarm and finished up the headlight/fairing (for now) I cobbled up the mirrors from some old Harley ones I had laying around (too ugly but they will do for now).

Paint is all bedliner with a clearcoat (from a can) over top. Very easy to touch-up!

Looks good, hard to beat the bedliner paint.
