Default Fighter Fest.......seemed like cruiser fest

So I rode out to fighterfest this last July and saw some cool stuff and met some cool people from on here but expected a little bit more. Maybe it was just me. I walked around to find that it was mostly a cruiser event and realized I rode four hours each way to check out two tents worth of killer fighter bikes....dont get me wrong I dont regret it at all but like I said I just expected alot more. am I alone in this? It seems like theres enough people who can make a bigger event specific to fighters or at least sportbikes as a majority to make the event more worthwhile. I know theres alot involved such as expenses and permits that make it crazy. but like I said I felt almost like I should have ridden my brothers sportster up there to fit in. At the same token def. looking forward to checking it out again this year....I hope I didnt step on anyones feet just throwing it out there. In comparison i look at it like going to an import car show and find its mostly classic cars.

Its bike fest first with us being fortunate enough to get time and space. The fact that we're still growing within a larger event needs consideration. And no matter how small its still the only fighter focused event in the US.

So no, not disapointed. I new how big it was gonna be so I was cool with it. I also gotta say that if you didn't make it to the resort for the afterparty(s) then you missed half of fighterfest

yeah u are alone. we're lucky enough to have karns performance willing to sponsor the "2 tent" event. and there is alot involved that for its 2nd year. it doubled so i guess its good u didnt go to the first year

if u wanted to fit in then why are u riding a fighter. u do realize that we ride fighters to express our own tastes in motorcycles. i know u weren't trying to step on any feet but in the end its an event to meet like minded ppl and to have fun with friends. if its 1 or if its 100. fighterfest is my vaca of the year. it was fun with there was only about a dozen bikes or so the first year. and it was fun last year and i cant wait for upcoming years

Ya I hear staying at the resort is half the fun and def plan on staying this year. I think if we all spread the word as far as locally anyway we can help change the pace a bit. I know a few ppl who work at local dealers.... Maybe theyd be interested in opening tents for parts etc and of course used parts.....cuz theres no loss in selling parts laying around and its a field day for ppl like us. Def looking forward to the resort craziness!

Baby steps, man, baby steps. That was year 2 of FF, you gotta realize it's not going to be Germany's Fighterama right out of the gate. Don't worry; we'll take over the world, soon enough.

More people would come if it was a centralized location. That's just the truth.

I couldn't dream of getting off work long enough to spend the time riding my bike all the way up to Carlisle from Houston. Not to mention the possibility that during the 1500-1600 mile trip something would go wrong.

Nonetheless, I really want to move back up north...so hopefully I'll get to meet some of you fucks soon.
