Default SV650 GSXR wheels, forks, triples...hit or miss??

I feel I have done enough research on this for my project now to have my findings analyzed.

'05 SV650

05-06 GSXR1000 upper triple
06-07 GSXR 600/750 front forks, lower triple, wheel, calipers, axle, fender and rotors.
03-04 GSXR1000 rear shock (There are others that work, is there a better choice than this?)
06-07 GSXR 600/750 rear wheel with the help of this kit below

Thoughts and opinions highly encouraged. Thanks

All good choices. The rear shock choice depends on your weight. Check out this post for shocks that would work and what spring rate you should consider. Might want to look into the monoblock R6/R1 calipers. They are half a pound lighter each and look trick. You would need correct spacers from TWF to make those fit. See my build thread for pics of what the R6 calipers look like with the proposed front end you are considering. I am assuming you are going with a 05-06 upper to use the steering lock? I shaved the ignition hole on my upper and relocated it to inside a frame hole. Probably not a good idea if you are in a high theft area.

Hey Mike, Thanks a lot for all the advice!! I had not yet seen that post for the rear shocks, but I ended up getting lucky and having the right choice picked after all. I ckecked out your build page and everything is looking really great, nice to see others that are just as anal about details as myself. I will definetly consider the R6 calipers, it just depends on whether i find a complete front end or not, I wont go out of my way to swap calipers. I will keep checking on your build, good luck with it! Just remember when I start mine that imitation is the biggest form of flattery.

Thanks again, Dell

What year calipers did you use?..off hand do you know what years would fit the 06 front end?

Any year radial R6/R1 caliper will work as long as you have the correct spacer, and thanks for the kind words.
