hey yall!
I know that what is done before this build starts doesn't count, but i wanted to let you know what has happened to get the bike to this point. I have already done alot of work and thought i would use the build off as incentive to help me finish. Here is the complete build thread:

All custom made carbon fiber body work
Rebuilt engine

I have an already modified 93 CBR 600 sitting in my parents garage. Here is the required timestamp:



I just signed the lease on this little house on Monday, and have been a whirlwind of activity getting ready to move in. There is going to be a slight pause in the bike build as a build the garage into a shop.



As for price,
I purchased the bike for $660 and have put about $600 more into it but other than tires and paint i have pretty much everything i need to finish. I will get a more complete breakdown of price once i can start posting again.

I noticed that alot of people were posting "inspiring" pictures... welll.. i really only had one but this one had alot of impact on the design... including the sub-frame design, carbon fiber tail, the gold engine accents, and general lack of "fluff" i also love how short it is



so what i need are some USD forks... but i have no money for them, so that is in the future of the bike

anyway, i hope to get you some updates soon

thanks guys! osrry for the long time without updates. i finally got a house, and have been building the garage into a shop. when i got it it looked like this:



so a little sweat, some 2x4s and plywood later...



i am going to move the bike over today, as well as the other big stuff so i can finish building the workbenches. i will have a clean mechanical bench, a dirty work bench (with the welder and grinder) and a clean shelf (back by the dryer) and some "cabinets" still have to finish the doors.

i will get some daylight pictures of the bike too... i need to get some photo-shopping down to decide on a paint scheme

Hey yall
i also need a little bit of help. i have three designs that i need help choosing between. could you help me out by giving me a picture of each?

here is the bike. i realized that in the best side-view picture the side-cover isnt installled. so i have a couple pictures... if you need a better one i can take it tonight.







Paint:
the frame will be black in all of them, and the side-covers are staying pain carbon.

Scheme 1
Wheel spokes and hubs are black, while the rims are the same gold as the engine accents or a bit paler, and there is a longitudinal gold stripe on the tank and tail about 3" wide.

Scheme 2
wheel spokes and hubs are black/dark teal (i cant decide) rims are white. Longitudinal white stripe on the tank and tail about 3" wide with black/dark teal accents to the stripe flaring out from front to back

Scheme 3
Wheel spokes and hubs dark teal, rims white. White longitudinal stripe on the tank and tail. the tank and the tail with a dark teal tint over the carbon. I would be spraying pearl over it... like this, but more green:


Also... if you have a great idea for the paint.. try it out...

okay, while i have had some time at work and been working on the garage, i have been playing around with paint schemes. here are a couple MS paint renderings. the tail will be a dark dark almost black color.. i just couldnt get Paint to co-operate.

Okay guys... a small update
Muriatic acid acquired (Lowes has a gallon for $7) to clean the radiator. yes i know it is dangerous stuff.. no i will not be huffing it or drinking it.. dont worry. =)

I have new fork seals and a SVRider forum member is gonna help me put them on.

i ordered the bulk of the paint... and have just enough left for tires. but i cant order them yet because...
i was given a 900rr swinger and wheel by our own fslflint. HUGE rep to Zach for the donation. I am going to be putting it in, but need to make sure it will work before ordering the tires.

Stock the 1996 900rr runs a 180/55/17 tire... is that the best thing to run? i think it has a 180/50 on it now.




the garage is coming along and i only have one more table to build one more set of cabinets, and a little bit of wiring before i can move all most stuff over, fix the jetta and then start working.

small update here. the garage is becoming more work-able by the day. i have all the power run and almost all the lights. i hope to be finished soon.

I got my paint...

and the blue-green shift pearl


I also made the headlight bracket clamps...


I cant decide whether to lave them as brushed aluminum or to anodize them or paint them... what do you think?

Well... there is no money from a front end swap (donations are welcome) so i am prettying up what i got
