Project "Storm Trooper" aka "ERfighter"
So as some of you saw, I sold my Aprilia to fund the build of a new fighter... mainly because I didn't have the room for 3 bikes and the Aprilia was beautiful but never really did it for me.
Well I ended up at the local dealer picking up some oil and filter for the wifes 09 ER6n. While I was there I was browsing the showroom and saw they STILL had a brand new (1 mile) 09 ER6N just like my wifes. As I was noticing how ugly it was stock our friend that we've bought many bikes from comes up and tells me how the owner is trying to get rid of it so bad , blah ,blah, good deal, blah.
So I walked out with oil, a filter, and a brand new bike.
Called the wife to come get the jeep and rode it home... I could see her laughing at me on the short 3 mile ride home on this bone stock , disgustingly ugly, huge mirrors, fender so big it almost dragged the ground, shiney new bike. I can see the beauty and potential under all those clothes.
On the plus side... tearing apart a bike with 4 miles on it is kind of nice. All the bolts come off without a breaker bar, everything is there, and I didn't even get dirty. :shocker:
I have a couple of ideas floating around but first will be trimming off the unneeded fat and shiney bits.... Here is my build straight off the showroom.
so shiney, so blue... yes I will be tearing that flawless paint off and doing a one off painjob on it.
