2009 Winter Streetfighter Buildoff
2009 is coming up with a quickness. Summer is coming to a close. Leaves are starting to turn (ARGH), and before we know it, snow will be flying. That means that the Winter Buildoff is coming up! As a result of having 14 entrants and
only 3 finished bikes last year (almost 4) we've decided to extend the buildoff this year. The contest will run from November 1, 2008 until May 26, 2009. Thats SEVEN months...SEVEN! If you cant finish it in that amount of time, you need to
have someone else building the bike for you!
As always we are going to try and get you some great prizes for the winners! CustomFighters will give a prize package of stickers, shirts, magazines and whatever else we have at that time....PLUS you'll be featured in the magazine with
a full write up and photos. Motocyco has donated an awesome prize every year so far, and we will contact them again since every winner thus far has LOVED their Motocyco billet resevoir! MotoMadness offered up a helmet or CRG
lever set, so we will contact them again. The prizes at this point are still up in the air, but thats not what its all about. It's about building some goddamn sick bikes, and making the horrid season pass by faster, for those of us that have
the frozen months. Those of you that don't, feel free to NOT chime in and tell us how wonderful it is to not have winter, but feel free to participate in our annual event.
Remember everyone this isnt about prizes or awards, it all started as a friendly winter-time challenge between two Honda owners building very similar bikes wanting to out do each other (no you cant see the bikes, one was sold and the
other still isnt finished haha). Remember these words as you brave colder climates in your garage with hopes of a sick custom fighter....DO WORK!
