CF Mafia Version 2 Sneak Peek!

We've been making a lot of changes to the game since version 1 ended, here's a sneak peek of a few of them:

Mini Stats Display Above Navigation:

This will show you how much time is left before the round ends (pay no attention to the date in this example). It will also show your avatar, your gang icon*, and how many turns, how much money and how many mobsters you have.

*Gang Icons:
Instead of the boring old text in brackets tags of version 1... we will now be using a gang icon system, and each gang can use an icon that is 50 pixels x 25 pixels in size to represent their gang. I made some simple ones to get us started with. You may notice a PM instead of 929... that's "Project Mayhem" which will be replacing 929... more details on that soon... These icons will show up throughout the game: on your mafia home page, in the attack & defense logs, Biggest Mobs list, etc. and they are all linked to their respective Gang Home Pages**

Gang Home Pages:
Each gang now has a Gang Home Page that lists out all of the gangs members, including all the info you would find on the Biggest Mobs list.

Recruit With Turns:
In Version 2, you will be able to recruit new members into your mafia by using some of your turns hanging out at the bar or casino trying to find some new recruits. Either way, it will use up 100 turns, but the odds are very different... at the bar, you will ALWAYS get somewhere around 5 new recruits. At the Casino it's mroe of a gamble (fitting, don't ya think?), you could find 10, or you could find none... it's very random. Now, you can burn up those extra turns building your mob!

BUT.... the biggest and most important change for version 2... is the moolah...

..and I'm not talking about CF Cash or Mafia Cash or any other kind of bullshit internet money... I'm talking about real U.S. Dollars, as in a jackpot, that you could win, for playing a game!

How's it work?
The first round will last 2 weeks (if we decide it was too short or too long, then the next round will be changed accordingly).

There are several available Bonus Packs for individuals and for gangs that can be purchased through PayPal that will drastically improve you / our gangs chances of getting to the top.

The winners will be based on Mafia Rank. We have a brand new mafia rating system that is very complex and takes a lot of things into account, such as your wins, losses, kills, mob size, and also the size of the people you attack and the people that attack you... like I said it's very complex, but it does a good job. Someone who only attacks tiny people will not have as high of a rank as someone who attacks people their own size.

The prize structure:

1st Place - Highest Rated Mobster - The Cash Jackpot + Kingpin Bonus Pack (new mega-bonus pack)
2nd Place - 2nd Rated Mobster - Kingpin Bonus Pack
3rd Place - 3rd Rated Mobster - Regular Bonus Pack

Top Rated Gang - (Gang with the highest combined total rating) - Wartime Bonus Pack (new MEGA - Gang bonus pack)

The Cash Jackpot:
As I mentioned before, there are several different upgrade pack you can purchase via PayPal to enhance your playing experience. Money from this goes into the Jackpot, which will go to the winner after the round ends. Any bonus pack purchased before now will be active for the first round of version 2, and the money from them will go into the jackpot. So, we already have like $20 or so in there, and the round hasn't even started! To make it more exciting... we are setting a $50 minimum cash jackpot on the first round, so if there is less than $50, Custom Fighters will throw in the rest!

Bonus Packs:
You can view the new bonus packs on this page:
http://www.customfighters.com/forums...hp?do=buystuff

If anyone wants to purchase them before the round starts, that's fine, in fact it's probably your best value. The bonus packs are NOT instant; I have to enter them mnnually, so it can take up to 24 hours or so sometimes (though it's generally less than 6 hours, and in some cases just a few minutes). But, the bonus packs only run until the end of the round they are purchased in. So, if you buy it half way through, you wasted half of it... There are also Replenish & Refortify packs that just give you a set amount of turns or mobsters rather than being a 6 hour bonus.

These bonus packs can give you a HUGE advantage,
and with a cash jackpot of at least $50 you've got something worth fighting for!

Look at this way: you put in $5 to get a bonus pack, and all you have to do is come in 3rd,
OR be in the top rated gang to win another bonus pack!
