Absolutely correct. The company I work for uses Ice Blast to clean molds for plastic bottles.
All the dry ice really does is move the foreign residue off the surface of the part your blasting. If you want to remove paint dry ice is not the way to go. Powder coat or chrome... good luck blasting that off... would be better if you took the parts and had them chemically stripped. Just been my experiences.
