I have used vht ALOT and never had any complaints. The first motor i had in my turbo bike was done with vht and that thing got pressure washed buy a broken fuel line at full song (about 62 psi) and the engine finish was completely unaffected.

Rear wheel is here. It looks mint. Now I’m waiting for the next paycheck to buy the matching front also.

Another challenge will be the braking system. I want to get a fixed left caliper for the front and a caliper for the rear.

Ducati Monster 600 or any other Monster have what I need but it seems that the sellers around here think that these calipers must be made of gold.

I’m lurking the parting websites, maybe I can find someone who doesn’t ask for an arm and a leg for two calipers that need new seals and pads.

Cheers!

Yamaha majesty uses those, just without the pretty gold coating.

Parts for small bikes are generally cheaper.

Thanks for the tip. I try to avoid ebay because of the sellers trying to rip me off witht the shipping quotes. For example, the caliper of Cagiva Raptor costs 38.5 euros, and the shipping is 49 euros. I mean, c’mon, I’m from Europe also, not from Australia.

We have courriers for that. You ship item to their address. Free shipping for a lot of items. And they bring it here. For example my guys bring 1kg heavy stuff from germany for 5

Didn’t do much lately since my new job doesn’t have a flexible program and moved with the girlfriend. Besides that my car is at the shop for a valve seal job and so gaskets change, so going to my parents it’s a bit over the top. But even so, friday night managed to squeeze some hours of wrenching and did this.

Polished the top triple tree

And...

A headlight bracket. I already had one but the headlight wad pushed forward too much.

This is just a mock-up fit, I need to make some aluminum spacers and trim some more the T bracket behind the aluminum bracket (the one that is bolted with 3 screws)

The entire assembly bolts on to the top triple with two m8 screws, in the place where the ignition switch would go.

Not much but it keeps me happy for a few days.

Cheers!

Really neat solution.

Will it be fine without vibration isolation on the headlight?

Being a 250, I reckon there will not be any real vibrations. If there are, I’ll use some rubber bushings where the headlight bracket meets the T bracket.

Also, I’m open to new suggestions.
