Waiting for some vinyl wrap before putting the frame back on the motor ...
So I figure I may as well clean a bit more.

Re-greased all the swing arm bearings and put it back on, poked a stainless steel brake line through it, mounted a trail bike rear brake master, CBR 600 pegs.

Time to start putting it back together

I made some stainless brackets to rotate the COPS around so they don't protrude out as much and push the front mount radiator out as much and installed a SEBSPEED oil cooler.

I put some mat wrap on the undertail to hopefully not show as many imperfections.

Used some pinchweld around the edges.

Made a plate and repositioned the regulator rectifier

Spent more time staring at the headlight, which I must use and the OEM speedo which I really want to use, so polished my petrol cap thinking about options.

Thinking about a stripe down the middle as well as the headlight now.

Australia Day in these parts, some call it invasion day, I call it a long weekend.

Painted my lower triple, realised that I hadn't replaced the lock stops I chopped off

Got my head light mounting brackets finished.

Fished out the speedo surround which I hadn't/haven't considered using, couldn't find it,
cut, heated and bent it to suit the new headlight profile.

That old valley iron came to the rescue again contributing to making two of these.

Run out of vinyl to wrap the top, would prefer less aluminium to polish

Excellent weekend, excellent weather.
From cardboard to sheet metal in a couple of hours.
Valley iron to the rescue again.

Name: C.F.30.1.jpg
Views: 115
Size: 79.8 KB

Tried to add some "flourish" , detail down the side.

Name: C.F.30.2.jpg
Views: 116
Size: 103.9 KB

Making the first side wasn't too hard, I had been watching some youtube sheet metal works whilst doing the sub frame undertail.

Name: C.F.30.3.jpg
Views: 117
Size: 102.4 KB

Name: C.F.30.4.jpg
Views: 116
Size: 109.3 KB

Making the second mirror image was mucho challenge, took a few goes

Name: C.F.30.5.jpg
Views: 117
Size: 96.9 KB

Good enough for me, just needs some filler, prep and paint.
