You're not going to get it from a boost bottle.

Bore & stroke, porting & headwork, larger carbs, custom pipes.

It will get new piston, porting, pipe, different carb, maybe new CDI. Not sure about bottle, just researching around

IMO I don't think Yamaha would have bothered with the R&D, manufacture & installation of boost bottles if it didn't have benefits. I read that it improves low speed running by allowing mixture to enter a chamber until it's needed rather than passing back through the carb and picking up even more fuel on it's way back into the engine, causing a rich condition.

Trying to grab as many parts as I can for the engine rebuild.

Still not sure if the +7mm stroker plan will happen. Asking Ed Erlenbach and Tony Dukas for help with that. Can't start buying big parts until I get all the info.

In the mean time, I asked MBD about the straight cut water pump gear and drive gear set. Not available at this time. Don't really need it, but thought it would be a cool mod. Searching for another source.

Also want the shift star and detent arm (bearing) & spring mod. Trying to determine what brand/style is best.

Also need to look at uprated bearings, o-rings & seals. Not sure what's available. EE and Jeff H like and use ceramic bearings. Might be my last engine build, so maybe I'll use those where I can. No idea where to get them, yet. Pretty sure I've seen improved YPVS seals/o-rings. Just have to find them.

Then there's the dry clutch parts. No idea if this will work, or leak oil, or maybe destroy the new engine.

Been going through the dry clutch parts. Not sure exactly how it goes together, so been at it like a jigsaw puzzle. Have most of it figured out, using the RZ and Ducati schematics. The TINY o-ring seal looks very sketchy. Wondering if an uprated rubber or teflon seal could be found/used? I'll post some good pics of the dry clutch assembly.

Received more info on this suggestion.

Got helpful photos from a two-stroke super OG.

Photo shows how to run the hose between the carb boots, in FRONT of the upsized reed flanges. Good idea to make it work.

Unfortunately, it's not the clean, simple look I want for this engine. Also, I made a very cool rubber-mounted carburetor support which occupies the same space.

May not be using larger reedcages on this engine.

The V forces will flow enough and I think your bespoke reed spacers will be enough bling in that area.

Striving to remain dynamic in an ever-evolving environment and shit like that.

That engine looks packed pretty tight in that RS250 frame.
Space is at a premium for sure...

RZ engine fits the same in my Aprilia SXV, very tight.

Replacing a V twin engine with a parallel twin.

There's video of that bike on Isle of Man.

The deal is done.

Jeff Henise will be making pipes for this bike. Stainless or titanium.

I'll be making silencers.

We compromise on the design. I want more custom. He wants more speed.

Working well, so far.
