Okay, bro. I'll get back on it.

I've been slacking on the projects, and everything else. Situation is not looking good.

No matter what happens, I want to fight and build bikes. To the end of my life, or the end of my money, whatever happens first.

I know my friends, and I too, have big expectations. If I don't finish these bikes, the story of Smoker will be unfinished and sad. We can't let that happen.

I'll get back on the radiator and fans. Thanks for the push.

Fuck bro. I hope not only that you finish the bikes but you also get to enjoy them. If there’s anything that any of us can do to help just ask. Happy to send money(you have paypal ?) , ideas and encouragement.

For the fans, if you find that they aren’t pushing enough air the Ducati panigale has a high spec fan attached to the oil cooler (I think) that might be good. It looks small enough but it is Italian... is that allowed ?

Who are you again?

Just kidding, bro. I see your post count is low.

One of the nicest things I've read.

All I need at the moment is encouragement and friendship from my bros.

...and some help now and then to make cool parts.

Hang in there with me, dude. The best part of these long-ass threads may be coming soon.

Would look something like this. What I don't like is the coolant fitting is in the center, on top. Just think a center fan would be better. Still could be enough cooling.

Not sure if this is possible because of clearance for the thermostat, but I'm working on it.

Fans are 80x80x25mm.

Will also see what I can do with an actual motorcycle fan.

Yeah. Most common fan used is from the 2002-2005 R6. That one looks like a Spal or other aftermarket R6 fan.

I was hoping a Spal 4" puller fan would fit. It'll work, but would push the radiator 60mm away from the cradle.

The CPU fans are only 25mm thick, but may not be strong enough. The Spal 4" fanblade is 96mm and puts out 147CFM. The CPU fanblades are 74mm and put out 31CFM each.

If I could use only 2 fans (none in the center), I could mount the radiator close to the cradle. Best option. Also saw an 80mm CPU fan that had a claimed output of 70CFM @2700 RPM. Didn't like the way it looked, but there may be a stronger fan I could use.

Charging up a battery, so I can do some simple testing.

One thing to note with CPU fans is the environment that they are meant to be run at tops out 30°C-40°C below the average coolant temperature from an engine. might be worth while to heat a bit of steel in boiling water and set it on the fans to see if their casing melts at 100°C.

Hate to be "that guy" but I have serious doubts a couple confuser fans move anywhere near enough air to cool an engine...

Not too worried about the plastic melting.

Very worried about the cheapo bearing and fan motor tolerating the heat.

If these fans last 50 hours on the bike, I'll be happy.

Paid $16 usd for a 5-pack of these fans.

Worried they might not last more than one ride.

If I go with CPU fans, I'll need a backup plan.

Got any serious knowledge to back that up?

How much air needs to be moved, to cool my +4mm RZ378 engine?
