I'll probably have to make some spacers or use some washers to get the wheel centered, and I'll probably have to either make a spacer to stack the sprocket out or have the carrier face milled a bit to get the sprockets lined up, but that's stuff I can do in house for next to no expense. The R6 wheel/rotor won't work with the ZX6R carrier, but I can make the R6 carrier work with the ZX6R swingarm, so I'll be using the R6 carrier assembly for brakes.

Unless you've fluked out and the Yamaha OEM spacers aligned everything to your hyosung with a Kawasaki arm and a Suzuki spindle, you're going to have to make spacers anyway.

Using the bigger spindle will mean drilling out the caliper carrier so you still need a 28mm drill. Is there enough meat on it?
the wonderful thing about boring is you can make almost any size hole without too many tools

of course, if you don't already have a mill or lathe you're spending a lot on one

A steering damper dampens steering oscillations. If it starts to leak, it may become a steering dampener. There's no such thing as a dampner.

Ha i thought it’d be easy to wallow by n the slot just a touch...just spent 20 minutes grinding away with a new die on one side and it’s like i got through the paint and no more. I’d put it in the mill but i don’t know if my vice will lock the arm down well enough.

yeah I've considered shortening a swingarm for one of my supermotos but figuring out fixturing in the mill isn't easy

I’d be more willing to jig, cut, and reweld the arm than try and tackle an alignment-sensitive task with a mill.

I just cked up an electric die grinder and some new 60g belts for my belt sander. My die grinder is very air-hungry and my compressor has a hard time keeping up. Going to see if the electric one will handle it a little easier. If not, sand paper it is...the sander will eat it up, just really hard to hold it steady in such a tight space.

The electric die grinder wasn't doing it, either...even my single cut burrs were gumming up...and the 1" belt sander didn't fit in there like I thought it would. Had to get a little more aggressive and break out the woodworking tools!

Got the job done!

What fun.

ha I hate it but it's something I would probably consider if I could match the color. It's either going to be stripped and bare metal or powdercoated black.
