This winter I pulled the trigger on usd forks, I went with srad 750 forks. They are shorter than 1100 forks so I used a cbr top triple clamp that has a step to it. I also re spung the forks to support the weight of the b12. I also lowered the rear about a half inch to get my rake and trail about the same as stock. The front fender is from a tl1000.

Looks great. I really like that blue finish.

What cluster/gauge are you using?

Hey thanks, the gauge is a acewell 2853. I debated between this one and the trail tech vapor. I decided on this one because it has a fuel level gauge, all the dummy lights and all the other function that the trail tech had minus the oil temp sensor.

So I decided to change the muffler because I hated how big the yoshimura muffler was so I had my buddy fab up something new.

Also I decided to extend parts of the seat pan to cover up a small gap from the tank to the seat. Unfortunately the plastics can’t be glued due to the composition of the plastics so I had to get creative.

Hi, which CBR triple did you use?

2- did you have to swap the bandit stem
3- are the cbr triple diameter the same as the srad one? What is the diameter?
4- Did you have to do any other modifications to make it work?

Thanks!

Looks like a 929/954 triple with that step in it.

Yeah it’s a 2000-2001 929rr upper, then I pressed in a steel sleeve for the stem Metric Steel Bushing 25 MM OD X 22 MM ID X 17 MM Long 1 Pc ,and ran a cylinder style sanding flapper wheel in the sleeve till it fit just right.

Also yes I had to swap the bandit stem over to the gsxr lower. It’s a press fit so it’s not difficult to do at all. Also I milled off the steering stops on the lower because the do not line up. You will have to use a different ignition switch as well because the stock one won’t work with the cbr triple. If you can find an 1100 front end I’d recommend that because ground clearance on the header kind of sucks now lol.

Made some progress on the seat, I’ve got the new foam shaped, the patterns are all wrapped up and it’s on to sewing.
