Default Re: THE MANS COOKING THREAD

a place i used to work at provided breakfast if we strated early ( we called it undertime instead of overtime) and we ended up having contests to see who could order ( and finish) the most outrageous breakfast snack

we finally got a winner with bread roll, two sausages, double bacon, two eggs, double ham, fried onions, double cheese, sauce and mustard

it was called the cholesteroll

naturally a pint of chocolate milk to wash it down with and maybe a sneaky jam donut on the side

the sausage roll in a bread roll gained favour for a while but just wasn't stupid enough

Been craving this for a while and finally gave in. Peach cobbler.

Simmer about 4 cups of peaches in 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar with some cinnamon in it.

Make a batter out of:

1.5 cups milk
1.5 cups self rising flour
1 cup sugar

Melt a 1/2 cup of butter (1 stick) in a dish. Slowly pour the batter in the center of that, pushing the butter to the edges. Slowly ladel the peach/syrup mixture on top of the batter. Don't stir it up. You want the batter to rise up through the cobbler to get that good chewiness.

Bake at 350 for about 50 min.

@Mattson it ain't like pie,bro
