lol I couldn't hear the fuel pump when I turned the key on...turned out the fuel pump wasnt there. Dumped some gas in the throttle bodies and it burbled right up.
If I can make it run easily...which I think I can once I get a fuel pump in it...then I'm going to bond it and sell it...it's hard to turn down that kind of profit. I'd love to keep it, but my GSXR1000 and TL1000R both taught me that I don't have the confidence to handle the bike anymore. I could put my knee down on my GT650R, but the GSXR just scared me.
It might. I'll probably play with it a bit, but I have my doubts I'll have as much fun putting around on a liter bike versus something I can actually wring out.
I can't. The CBR will run as soon as I put a fuel pump in her. I can't turn down that kind of cost/return ratio. That bike is going to put new floors in my house.
Well now that I got her running she is for sale...I'm not quite ready to part her out yet, though...not unless someone makes me a good offer for the motor.
I think it's an okay price but not a good time to sell...great time to buy. I'm hoping once the weather warms up I'll be able to fish up some interest from someone with a decent lathe. Or I may change my mind and keep it...depends on how the ZR7 turns out. I miss the blinding acceleration of my GSXR1000 and the CBR would give it back to me, but I never had the confidence on the GSXR that I had on my "slower bikes". And then also not being able to get out of 2nd gear can be a bit boring....
