It is a 1 1/8th bar. If I think I get some flex I'll make a cross bar. Still have the clamps from the renthal I put on the CBR.

Thanks off to DW

Cool thing about the TL top yoke.

I managed to break my zip saw, sawzall, reciprocating saw, whatever you wanna call it it... so out came the hack saw, which I discovered had a dull blade hence the miter saw
With a bit of a trim

And elongating a few holes...

The OEM triumph ignition fits

The trim is so the top sits flush with the top of the yoke. I think the lock even lines up, at least partially.

And you see the JB weld too. Theres 2 layers of 1/8" aluminum in there, every bit of facing material I could reach got roughed up for adhesion.

a full package of JB :p well mixed and dolloped in and spread around. Point a heat gun at it so it turns a touch more liquidy and it flows into all the nooks and crannys with a bit of a prod.

Then this morning I measured 450000000 times and drilled the other hole after boring out the one that came. Uneventful for once. No miscalculations or mismeasurments. No filled in "oops" 3rd holes :p

Hurried up and bolted everything together and!?!

Woohoo! it's got legs again...
But whats this?

Flattening the bevel I had on them for the OEM top yoke took too much off for them to be usable Time to source new risers... or maybe I could make some spacers out of some scrap cuts I have laying around...

So
Risers, new or make some spacers
Axle spacers, waiting (patiently I have plenty to keep me busy)
Wiring, fix the corners I cut on the electrics and sort the component layout with this new tail
Tail and battery box... keep plugging away
Front fender... I've... got an idea

Getting there!
And the front end swap only set me back a couple days worth of work and was well worth it I think.

I can see them, (but do have aGmail account) doesn't look like you need much, maybe even some Form A stainless washers might be enough?

Had to google that. I've never seen the "Form *" classification for washers :p

I didn't immediately think of washers as I assumed the broad face of the riser on top of the yoke helps distribute torque across the face of it. But after thinking on it a moment I realize theres plenty of risers that taper down to a simple round post...

For example

So I may just do that... I need some stainless M10 flat washers to space out the calipers a touch anywho

I think form C is wide and thick. That might be what you need actually.

The spacers fit perfectly. Axle tool should be here Monday and then just 3 or 4 more details for the front end and then I can call the conversion "done".

One of the details is this caliper spacing. DEcosse's fork swap mega thread on triumphrat says these busa forks with the sprint front wheel should fit stock sprint calipers with just an M10 washer as a spacer.
That is too much brake drag right? Considering the lines aren't even hooked up, so no hydraulic pressure at all

How difficult was is to install the caliper? If you could put it on without needing to pry, or really put much pressure on it, I'd think that it's not dragging too much.

But that video seems too tight to me. Seems you can actually hear the pads dragging the rotor, or is that something else?

How about leave everything installed , but pull the mounting bolts out of the caliper. Squeeze the brake, release, let the pistons retract, then see where the caliper wants to sit at rest. That's what I've been doing on my bikes when mounting oddball brakes.

That sound is pads dragging. If I loosen the bolts the drag goes away.

Tomorrow I'm going to hook up the lines, bleed it down then squeeze and release the brakes then check the spacing. I suspect these washers I have are a touch on the thin side for this particular use.
