Default Question about voltage regulator

Hello,
I have a question about the regulator. On my motorcycle the regulator is installed under the hump. There is no airstream.
My question to you: Has anyone of you installed the regulator in the same place? Does that cause problems?
Many thanks for your help

I'd at least put one of those computer case fans on it.

could you vent ( either louvres, speed holes or slot with mesh behind ? ) the hump at all, maybe on the top so any heat rises and buggers off upwards ( as heat is fond of rising) that way its not getting caught in a pocket ?

also i'd mount it with the fins sitting vertically so any airflow is channelled up and out rather than each fin possibly holding back the heat coming from the fin below ?

Thank you for your answers. I like the idea with the fan. I will make slots in the side or in underside the hump and mount a fan.
Maybe even a small flow channel 3D printing...
