Default Flat seat mounting

Hi guys,

I'm fitting a flat seat to my KWAK GT550, but the original seat has quite a pronounced s curve. Pictured (not my actual bike but the same model) is how my stock frame looks. I think if I make support brackets at the front (so the seat is the level with the raised rear subframe) it will leave a big gap; how would I get around this? I don't want to fit a new subframe, nor do I want to re-design the top shock mounts (because of time and lack of skills).

Just had a thought - Ill be chopping off the raised square section on the rear so it's flush with the subframe. If I made a bracket for the front, it will be level. I have a full fairing which I can't sell (no-one wants it) which I could cut to shape and use this as side covers under the seat?

weld in a couple of rails, infill panels, gets you a seat mount and ready made electrics tray under it
