I'm sure it's a solid machine, they last a lifetime, but they also need a BIG breaker (that says 90A) vs an inverter machine and are a bitch to move. They're lacking features vs modern machines too.

for industrial use they might make sense... for hobby use I think it's worth picking up an inverter instead, and some of the well regarded imports are reasonably priced: my cousin has an AHP AlphaTIG 200X and it's been a good unit. It'll even run (at reduced output) on 110V, you can carry it easily, it has a pedal (I don't see one in the pics), etc. Currently they're $750 on Amazon.

A steering damper dampens steering oscillations. If it starts to leak, it may become a steering dampener. There's no such thing as a dampner.

from what little info ive found.. seem to agree.. not to good at small stuff especially ac tig.. even if it has HF..

my old mans buddy has a synrcowave ive been trying to get.. also been looking at the everlast.. but a bit out of budget.. dont like the pedal on the eastwoods.. that ahp is looking mighty fine..

my brother has a miller 215 he got for free than im gonna try and trade my 180? 210? for cuz hes cant fucking weld.. and trade that down for a offbrand..

a lot of options..nothin' happening.
