Default Need help finding a master cylinder.

I need a front MC that has an 11mm bore and is designed to work with switchgear ( no dirt bike mc). I also need an integrated reservoir and hopefully no sight glass.

What bike uses a mc like this?

A bunch of recent hondas have that.

Not 100% sure what models you get over there but any non abs models of cbf500, nc700/750x/s are worth exploring.

The master from a cbr250 or grom (same) has a small body and half inch bore, but the physical leverage makes it behave more like a smaller master cylinder. I know it comes with a 2*25mm caliper on the Grom which would more usually be driven by an 11mm old type master. Might be worth a go.

Not sure what you mean by no sight glass. Not sure if I ever saw a master without some type of viewing window.

I'll check my pile when I get home. Not sure you'll find one without a sight glass, that's pretty standard.
What stroke do you need?

Many of them aren't sensitive enough, IMO. I like my light to come on any time I use the brakes, not just when squeezing hard. Because 95% of people driving cars are braindead assholes lately

Thanks guys.

The switchgear comment was about the brake lever clearing handlebars controls ( run- kill switch), not a front brake switch.

Has anyone ever successfully removed and replaced a sight glass?

I haven't done it myself, but I know it can & has been done. Easy enough to pop in a plug of some type vs a new lens, I suppose.

Why the aversion to the sight glass?

For powder coating reasons. If the glass can be removed and replaced reliably, that's all good. Seems like one of those very simple tasks that will go sideways on you, though. I'm not opposed to plugging or welding the hole up if needed, but no glass to begin with just simplifies everything. I know some glasses have snap rings showing. I guess others just press in?

Found out a XR250L is 11mm, designed for switchgear and has a very compact reservoir. It's also set up for a brake switch. My bike never had a front brake switch, but i wouldn't mind adding one.
