Default bike security...

so been on my mind for a while.. its summer and a lot of bikes are getting stolen again here.. and living where i do.. i dont have a garage so...

thinking of running a ground anchor and chain.. might spring for a 'real' chain but thinking i can make the anchor.. something like this.. just weld it to the floor with some rebar and hilti 500..

any input? not used to this level of dealing with fucktards

How are they being stolen?
Hotwired and ridden away, a disc lock or similar may be the better option as it can be used anywhere and doesn't require anything permanent.
Picked up and tossed into a truck, this will work as long as the thieves don't have a cordless angle grinder, but a long steel cable will work just as well and might be able to reach a preexisting anchor point.

When I go to MotoGP I use a thick steel cable with a rubberized coating (no wheel scratches), string it through the front wheels of the bikes and then through something on the truck (wheel, diff, hitch bracket, etc.).

Hypermotard 1100S the weight-shavening.
Bandit 1200 cafe/fighter that will never get finished at this rate.

919 Hornet build'n'flip, lotsa electrical diagnostic info in there.

i mean nothing will stop them if they really want it i suppose.. but im hoping my neighbours can see a rando van parked in my driveway and hear a bunch of cutting noise so..

Might be worth hiding a gps tracker in the harness somewhere.
