BATTERY JUNCTION BOX FUSE 27 CRANK NO START, LOSS OF RPM
AND/OR MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) ILLUMINATED WITH
MULTIPLE DTCS

FORD:
2009-2014 F-150

ISSUE
Some 2009-2014 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a crank no-start, stalling and/or a malfunction indictor lamp (MIL) illuminated with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0230, P025A, P0627, UO1 09, P0201 P0202, P0203, P0204, P0205, P0206, P0207 and/or P0208.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct this condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.Does this vehicle exhibit a crank no-start, loss of RPM and/or a MIL illuminated with DTCs P0230, PO2SA, P0627, U01 09, P0201, P0202, P0203, P0204, P0205, P0206, P0207 and/or P0208?

a. Yes proceed to Step 2.

b. No this article does not apply. Refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual for normal diagnostics.

2.Does the battery junction box (BJB) exhibit signs of excessive heat at fuse F27 (20 amp) terminal location?

a. Yes - install a BJB fuse F27 relocation kit. Refer to the instructions in the kit.

b. No - this article does not apply. Refer to the PC/ED manual for normal diagnostics.


Ford part number for the relocation kit is EL3Z-14293-A

Anyone that could have a clue feel free to chime in cause I don't.

Patient: Fiat Scudo 2 van 1.6D 2008

Symptom: rev counter needle light is blinking steadily as if to warn me about something. No warning lights no on-board computer messages no unusual behaviour, just the blinking needle. At first I thought it to be a contact issue but it's far too steady a rythm to be anything but deliberate.

In case you're unfamiliar with the vehicle, Fiat Sudo, Citroen Jumpy, Renault Expert and the Toyota ProAce are all the exact same car in case that has any help diagnosing the issue( if it is an issue?)

sorry bud... I just spent a good 20 min looking through our shop info and none of those models are listed, I assume that we only have US market vehicles in the programs we subscribe to. Ill try a google search later when Im a bit more free (only on lunch ATM)

It might me related to the turning indicator stalk somehow, sometimes when blinking right it ticks quickly at first but never long enough to get out and inspect the flashers. If I wiggle the stalk the blinking of the needle sometimes gets interrupted. I also noticed the speedometer needle light does not lit up so it's definitely a contact issue somewhere. It being a CANBUS car home diagnosing gets a bit tricky...

yeah, a scanner that reads live data would pretty much be a necessity at that point to pinpoint the signal voltages. Bummer that I dont have any info on the vehicle, I could send all the schematics if they published international info to us over here.

How much oil foam in coolant overflow reservoir is considered "bad"? Gonna get the thermostat swapped and the system flushed/refilled so I`ll know how quickly it reappears. I know "any" is the trigger point for a gasket swap just thinking how quickly is it imminent.

not much... any oil is bad like you said. worst part is it could suddenly get worse at any time the engine is running. remove the thermostat and flush the system with some type of soap that has a degreaser in it (also be a good idea to flback flush the heater core too). I use dawn dish soap and then flush with water a couple times, install the new t-stat and fresh coolant youre gonna get and see how it goes.

Wish I spotted that when buying... No point in complaining now as it was from a private seller, smaller hassle and likely cheaper to just pop the head and swap the gasket myself next summer, I mean to quote a famous car reporter, how hard can it be?

But yea like some exhaust residue in coolant is a lot better than coolant in oil. Not good but better....
