Well, I have finally got most of the parts to get a good start, and thought I would through my hat in the ring on the build off. It was a WERA endurance race bike that met a early end. It was built by the M4 Emgo Suzuki team and raced by a friend of mine who lost the front going into turn one at Barber ended up in the wall and subsequently broke his neck(he's all good now). So needless to say I got it cheep, anyway it's LOADED with good shit, Ohlins fork internals, Penske shock, Vortex rear sets, M4 Ti exhaust, PC3r, Quick shifter, ported and polished head, Yosh cams, puts 185.6hp 79.2ft/lb to the wheel (hence the name).
yeah, its supposed to have been clocked at 190 on the back straight at Road Atlanta, and my friend was 6'5" and 250 at the time. I can't wait to crack the whip (or at least tickle it), should be fun
First off, Score on the ex race bike. Dig the work you've got going so far. The clamp looks like a killer design. And those bars are FAT! Very cool. Saw you had a copy of AJC. What part of ATL are you from?
Oh wow, you're way out there. Right on. Well, once you get it finished hopefuly you'll be able to ride down and hang out with the rest of the ATL family.
This is true. We got the 129 loop and what not up towards the end of 400. Decent roads, but it's getting crowded. But hey, I'm always up for a good ride.
yeah, we only run the 129 loop on the weekdays, I won't touch it on the weekends (too many cops too many idiots). My house is right on hwy 197 so I pull out of my drive and am on one of the best most flowing roads around, and there are roads like that all over Rabun co.
thanks rana, no the frame is not carbon that is just some carbon frame covers on the upper and the kick plates that I cut out of some adhesive backed carbon fiber sheets on the lowers.
thanks Adam, those fuckers took me a month and a half, 4-5 days a week, 4-5 hours a day. and I honestly thought they'd take a week-week and a half tops.
but I'm proud as hell of them.
