Anyone here tried to migweld aluminium with a spoolgun? considering buying one but dont know how easy it is to get a good weld. i have not much experience welding aluminium but alot on migwelding steel. will mostly be for welding small brackets and tacking parts together so i can get someone to tig weld after.

I think you can do small things like that running high pressure of argon but I know shit about welding. I just got my mig and am buying argon soon so I'm interested if I'm right or not

They work ok but it takes A LOT of practice to get good with one. Dont expect to buy one and produce quality welds day 1.

Built entire working car chassis, 20" bicycle wheel/electric drive, with an aluminum spool gun and argon. In high school.

I didn't see much about JB Weld!

I'll read some of those during normal times.
