Default Brake caliper repositioning

I'd like some advice regarding relocating a front brake caliper.
Unsure if I should ask here or in the Help section, maybe both?
I have complete CBR 929 front end, forks, brake, wheel
I want more spokes on a front wheel than the CBR's 3 spokes, shiny's front wheel, CBR 600 is similar if the not same to the VFR's and looks great white and has more spokes.
Can't find RC 51 front wheel, regardless of $$ here in Australia, .
I can make VFR wheel fit CBR forks with new bearings and spacers.
The calipers are set for the CBR's 330mm rotors not a VFR's 296mm but they do run thru center of the brake caliper which is good.

I found these caliper repostioners.

Will never find any fit for purpose but gave me this idea.

Made some MDF templates, each side is 12mm, same as mounting tabs on fork and caliper

I think I may be able to fab these out 25mm thick 6061 aluminium.
Thoughts?
So to add extra to the mix, I've found that CBR 1100 Blackbird 310mm rotors can fit VFR wheel, this would give the bracket extra meet in the center as the caliper wouldn't be pushed in as far.

Any input or improvement's more than welcome.

Sound plan. Def go for the 310's if you can.

I fitted a smaller axle and CBR600 wheel in 929 forks on my turbo 7/11, look up my "Fat Kat" build thread for pics.

And for God's sake, stop trimming your toenails with that hammer... sheesh.

If getting the blackbird discs would make any parts you feel are too thin thicker then do it, otherwise save your money. Used discs are a minefield , trying to get a pair of straight ones is a rare thing.

Fwiw I've used similar adapters to fit a brembo on am msx and a cb-1. No issues.

Get it done.

Unless you can make an adapter flange to fit 330 discs on your wheel, then consider that too.

just be careful if thr discs get too big, make sure the caliper position won't clip the wheel as they're further out than stock mounts

He's running smaller rotors than standard (296 or 310 vs 330), VFR wheel same size as CBR, should have space to spare if centered properly.

Thanks fella's, information and encouragement greatly appreciated, unfortunately old mate with the 310mm rotors had a 58mm bore not 62mm for the VFR wheel.

Very jealous of your greater populations to source parts and prices.

Question for Sebspeed, your 6gen VFR, can you toggle the speedo from Mph to Kmh?

I got the bike started, it sounds different to my 5gen, all idiot lights work, but no tacho and all LCD display is blank, asked an expert over at VFRD but getting no traction.

Kinda like your tig torch pics, a couple of years ago, a bike sort revenge with it's side stand and reefed off that toe nail, can still see the bloodstains on the garage floor, pain was excruciatingly enjoyable, would of been worse if I'd dropped the bike, toe has never been the same.

Have a great weekend ya all.

Yes, it can be toggled from mph to kmh. Check all the wiring to make sure it's intact and also the solder joints on the board, if the donor took a hard hit it might need some repair.

Not sure about the Mk6 but the Mk5 was chronic for melting the tracks on the circuit board. You can repair them by soldering a wire in. Got to be worth opening the Speedo up, check for that and/or cracks as seb says.

Mk5 was the last one with camchain gears, later bikes will always sound different use to that.
