I must not be lookin in the right place then. Every place around here wants all the money for powder coating. At this point I just want this bike back together so I can ride this season......I'll worry about powder coating next winter.

Yeah I had a friend of a friend weld the subframe. Brought the rear in, raised it 1 1/2 inches, and added a few supports. I didn't want any plastic on the rear so I think it looks pretty good. He didn't weld it exactly the way I wanted it to look. Oh well....I'll work with it. I was going to raise it higher but I'll be carrying the occasional passenger so I couldn't go crazy.

I got the tail light on ebay. Here Yes I did try Home Depot. The smallest they carried were size #32. The screws are smaller than that. So I epoxied the light on. That thing is never coming off. I tested it by picking up the subframe from the light.

What seat is that? That tail end flows well with the tank. Your bike is coming together nicely! Makes me wish I never sold my ZX7!!!

It's a 03 monster seat that's been cut and chopped to fit. I need to put the cover on which I planned on doing today. But my electric staple gun isn't strong enough to staple into the plastic seat pan. Anyone have suggestion on what I should use?

I have an air compressor but don't have a staple gun. I might be able to borrow one but I'm not sure if they make 1/2 inch staples for it.
