Wow I like the relocation on your Gsxr Doug. So I'm guessing no issues with putting the tank back on?

When relocating is it a problem bolting it directly to the frame?

It clears the tank by about 1/4" or so. I wanted to put it in the small triangle opening toward the front of the frame but tank interference was definitely an issue so the current spot was the alternative.

Hopefully this summer i get time and funds to do mine, half the key is broken off in my current ignition you can turn it with anything, scredriver, penny, i can almost do it with my fingers alone lol. the stock igniton is pressed in so i have to drill out the bolts before i can replace it, just avoiding this headache till it makes me mad enough to swap it.

I don't see a problem. Drill and tap some holes. Be careful not to over torque the fasteners though. Add a drop of loctite to each bolt first. Then let us see what you did.

On my 636 I took the key part off and just used the actual switch. Hid it under the passenger seat which takes a key to open. Then I wired the main power wire thru the kill switch so that I could just use the kill switch unless I was worried about the bike getting stolen.
