Default max load from fan

as i am crap with electrics, could anyone tell me what the safest Max amps i can draw through am electric motored fan?
the two i am looking at are Max of 4Amps or one with Max of 6.9Amps, would either of these be ok?

I think it more depends on the total load of the components combined vs the output of your stator. My guess is either is okay, but I would do the math to verify. Find out the output of your stator and subtract the draw of all the electrical components and see where you land.

Ducati 916 example:


Obviously not everything will be running at the same time, therefore any leftover goes to charging the battery.

Looks like you are using a Bandit 1200 motor, right? Google says the output of the stator is 540 watts. If that is true, you would be fine with either. The 6.9 amp fan would draw under 90 watts.

it is quoted 6.9 MAX amps if in very dense air, normal draw of 4.4amps
