Just because it rubs someone the wrong way to look at stuff in your yard... Can't you build a fence? Oh wait there's probly a regulation against that...

Just got my van from a cambelt/oil service with a 750eur bill, two days later it's down on power, cuts out if you select reverse and the screen is saying "antipollution fault" so probly looking at a new DPF which is probly another 750... Need three sets of tires and to take the ford in too cause it's got a massive dead spot in the steering. Muchos dineros again...

Gladly no piss sprayers on this one, the mech suspected the DPF might be full as the 1.6 TDi engine on the Fiat Scudo is off a Peugeot 807 and known to soot up from the inside, there`s been turbo faults at under 100tkm due to clogged lube tubes. He said he`s gonna attempt to force-burn it but said to prepare myself for a juicy bill...

I always warn people about forced burns on a full DPF. Once in a great while they catch fire and burn the car down. Hasn't happened to me but there are warnings on all the scanners that state to do it outside to reduce the chance of excess damage if a fire occurs. Id say of the handfull of forced regens Ive done its been about 50/50 success. Hope yours turns out ok.

its usually pretty easy to tell when its doing a hwy regen. the fans will come on and itll seem a touch down on power for a few min. Like Rex said, all the DPF failure ive seen are because city driving doesnt allow enough hard-cruise time to allow them to burn off the soot accumulation.

Just gut that shit.

I removed the emissions junk on my buddy's 325d a few weeks ago (ECU retuned afterwards). Checked out the innards of the components, holy shit that stuff is restrictive. His car now hauls balls, and you can really feel how much better it breathes. Fuel economy went way up too.

Not sure what your inspections involve over there, but if it's just visual it would be pretty easy to gut the innards and put the empty OEM stuff back in.
