Standard rear facing is good, but if you're trying to film someone behind you, make sure they ride your ass or they'll just look like a speck in the distance due to the wide angle

I was figuring I'd run it in 1440/60 for battery life and storage space reasons. 2.7k does look good though.
I plan on using the telemetry features which will be a battery drain as-is. Considering wiring up a cable off the battery to run the camera off external power though, which would make it all a non-issue... of course that wouldn't work if I do find a gimbal.

Patience, ye insufferable fuck
Planning a test run this weekend, weather permitting.

Some ideas-

Frame slider mount:

Neat perspective, but I'm not too keen on the idea of turning the camera into a frame slider

Passenger footpeg mount:

Not a single one of my bikes have passenger footpegs. Or seats.

Standard rear facing is good, but if you're trying to film someone behind you, make sure they ride your ass or they'll just look like a speck in the distance due to the wide angle

Good call with the proximity. There is a setting to change the FOV to a more standard non-fisheye, might be good for rear-facing.
I'm leaning towards tank mount and rear (forward facing) mount. Tank won't work on the Hyper though, maybe I can put it on the bar or something.

I've done the rear forward and rear facing mounts also, just couldnt find the video. I fabbed a tripod mount that keyed off my passenger grab handles and the back part of the luggage rack on my VFR. More stuff you don't have on your bikes, I know. Fab the mounts you need to get the cool angles.

Got a screaming deal on this from a guy at work. Glad I've got an 8' bed, a little worried it might not fit.

Riding buddy is coming this weekend to take it home. Now just have to wait for his kid to get a couple years older.

Right out of the box, no. But once they get dust and dirt buildup, well, let's just say make sure you run a tether cord if you use one.

Look up RAM mounts. Of course as with any suction cups make sure you got a solid purchase and two clean surfaces but once you twist the knob on a RAM suction cup it will not come off. Big fucker and a bit on the pricy side but hell you could probly pull small dents with that thing simply by putting it over the nick.
