Daytona955 is a NOOB
Default Triumph daytona 955 98

Ive recently pulled the plastics off my daytona and swapped to a digital gauge from analogue.
Took the bike for a spin and it is very laggy. My first thought is air intake as the old set up had tubes running from the front of the bike to the airbox under the tank which i have removed.
Am i on the right track or could it be something else. Any ideas appreciated

Yep. My five seconds on the gaggler tell me it's injected, so presumably getting a tune or picking up a power commander or similar would cure it.

Good luck!

And welcome

Getting a power commander on a Triumph is a waste of money as the ECM is fully adjustable with a suitable cable and TunEcu software. EFI Triumphs in general run very rich so if you've removed the intake snorkels you're probly drenching it in fuel. These bikes are also pretty picky about having good spark so start with a new set of plugs. Are you getting black smoke when accelerating hard? Are your clothes reeking of petrol? You're probly spewing considerable amounts of unburt fuel through the system.

I'm not familiar with the t595 as mine was the newer 955i but most of the stuff is cross-compatible.

I've never had that issue on my Umph even when pulling the plastics, but I DID get a good tune so that may have changed it. I think run with what's been said, get some new plugs real quick and then hit the tune.
