Default Drilling a weep hole in the coolant reservoir?

I found a perfect container for my coolant reservoir replacement, it is solid aluminum, screw on cap, with a welded on fitting that is perfect for my coolant line.

But instead of having an evap line for the reservoir, couldn't I simply just make a weep hole for the hot air to escape from?

I realize that stopping short or taking off quick, downhill and uphill angles could be problematic, but I'm thinking of just drilling a small weep hole for the air to escape. Any reason I shouldn't do this? I'm just really not liking the look of adding the evap/overflow line to the bike.
