Default Repairing Radiator Mount Bracket

The radiator mounting bracket on my 2005 ZX10r radiator has broken off. Picture below shows the damage. The other side is fine which is great. I don't really have any welding stuff so I was thinking about using some JB weld to put it back together. The radiator is held on by this bolt and another weight-bearing 'nub' on the other side, as well as a stay on the bottom.

Thoughts? Would JB weld hold good enough or is it absolutely necessary that I find someone to weld it on?

It really should be welded.

If the piece it attaches to doesn't flow coolant, you can add a couple pop rivets as a second choice. They won't last as long as weld though.

J

Don't know where you're located... but if riding season is already upon you. I would take Dave's advice... if ya have a several more weeks like we do in Chicago... dis-assemble and have it welded.

Peace of mind is a good thing while riding.
