Yeah, looks like all the pivots (minus a few just for the shock etc) are rose joints. It's an easy way to do things without need for machining, and the extra degrees of freedom may help keep things from binding if your alignments are imperfect.

Not sure what the deisgn goals were. Looks like rear and front use a single shared shock, and the steering looks similar to the vintage OEC concepts, but with dual arm suspension instead of telescopic.

Nice experiment, wonder if it was worth the trouble? History says probably not...

On bikes with hub steering up front, do they counter steer the same?

Should, the counter steering comes from sending the contact patch of the front tire to the outside of the corner to drop the center of gravity towards the inside of the corner.

Any two wheeled single track vehicle that turns by leaning into corners is probably gonna counter steer. Hell, even most leaning reverse trikes (like the Niken) counter steer. It's just the quickest and most natural way to produce lean.

Hub center steering is really quite similar to a normal bike - the steering is (duh) just in the center of the hub, rather than high above the center.

Those trapezoidal linkage setup like on the OEC and (I think) the posted bike are a bit different in that the wheel moves a bit side to side when turned, but I don't think it makes any difference as far as "does it countersteer" goes. You'd have to offset the wheel a pretty large distance before THAT was the main mechanism leading to tilt, and if you tried to eliminate counter-steer and make it "point to steer" you'd end up with that mechanism having to overcome normal counter-steer effects. Easier just to design it so they both produce the same effect.

The smaller you can keep the link the wheel is mounted to, the less it moves side to side - the one in the pictures @hrdy posted actually seems designed to create a LARGE side to side movement, so it may be an effort to create faster turn in/ righting.
