forks can be lowered internally to get the height where you want it

A steering damper dampens steering oscillations. If it starts to leak, it may become a steering dampener. There's no such thing as a dampner.

Remember the KLX forks are sprung for a much lighter bike. They may be longer but putting them on a heavier bike will compress them more and they’ll still remain soft.

this is true. that's why I have looked around for a stiffer spring to put in them.
but don't know this will work out though. id rather just get this bike running and drive it like it is first

make sure the steering stem lengths work before putting too much work into swapping

after looking at them last night. the klx stem looks identical to the old kz one.
its 9 1/2" long. steel and slim compared to the ninja which wasn't used. aluminum, shorter and fatter

if I remember right. the bearings in the conversion chart were the same for klx and the old kz

got this. life saver.

78 kz650 and 2009 klx 250 is completely direct swap for forks. besides bearings. use kz

swing arm not so much. baby brakes too :/
SA is super light though. I could chop the old swing arm pivot tube for spacers ??

the ninja forks do look good on the bobber...

exhaust is super super low. cant lean into right turn and very bad headshake if you take one hand off the bars

KZ forks look real good up there. I'm not sure on the belly dragging, headshaking bike though
