Subframe v.2 seems to be coming along. Keep on keeping at it.

Cheers Robbo and a happy xmas to you.

The paint was as thick as a ten pound hookers make-up, but I think underneath it
all there is a good bike and I actually found a spot that had been molested,
under the radiator cap was like new.

I understand the competing with yourself. I've been pushing myself to not cut corners lately.

Dude, nice work on the seat! I hope mine turns out that nice. Did you have to work on the foam any or just the cover?

Hi Shiny, the foam wasn't too bad, had to glue bits of it together and put a few filler patches in, but I think a redo is in the future, stretched it to much, can see it eventually tearing
if I ever gonna be sitting on it.

Love your approach to fixing things that others (me) would just go and buy, lever, gas cap,
grab handles.....etc and your budget is another great effort

Showing a lot of ingenuity, and ability and practicality if you live in the sticks.

There is going to be some nice bikes come the end of winter..

Thank man. I get way more joy out of making something than buying something even if the results aren't as nice.

Wanted to swing in and say FUCK YEAH! on the light panels. That's cool as hell. Always learning new tricks on this site.

Would love to know your source for the led strips you used, I have use for a white version.

A thin layer of cotton batting (1/4", fabric store) would cure the cottage cheese look of the seat if you decide to redo.

Lastly, saw your note on Yan's thread re: moving the ecu, if you need any pointers for supplies let me know, I shortened all the wires on the Warbird VFR ~18" to move it forward (99-01 model ecu was under rear of seat by taillight). I reused the harness plugs and grommets but purchased new crimps. Fun job...
