Default I need speedo drive advice

I'm working on a XT500E with motard wheels. I did a research with out luck to find a speedo drive from a 17" whell that I can match to the XT wheel. I just want to make the speedo a litle more accurate. Does anyone have any information to share?

I've seen where the wheel size was accounted for by reduction gears within the Speedo. Is the reduction on yours definitely done in the drive, or might a new mechanical Speedo from another bike fix it?

Or why not make a new dial?

Ride at 100kmh, and note what the Speedo shows.

That guy will make one with the numbers recalibrated. I speak German if you need to contact him and he doesn't speak English.

Just a thought.

Thank you very much fellas
That idea it's not bad at all, I will pm you if I end at that soloution a_morti
I just want a speedo to stay permanent on the bike beezwiz. I have a mathced gauge setup and I want to keep it like that.
I've found that the YBR125 speedo drive is similar to the XT. It only have a 14mm axle hole and I'm sure that some one can machine it for me to 17mm with no problem. I might give it a try
