Awful lot of money spent just to get some beer...

That's the cooling coil in the middle, 23h from placing an order to delivery, must be some sort of a personal record.

Can't you just run a copper tube outside and back in? I thought it was really cold there.

Not THAT cold besides that thing cost me 49eur with the hose connectors and copper tubing is really expensive here, could not have bought the raw ingredients for a copper one for that money.

Tested it yesterday, 20L of boiling wort to 25c in 17mins.

$7 worth of 4" outdoor screws. Worth every penny for the 12 that I used, those shelves are going nowhere.

I've been using propane but don't like the noise and it hasn't been working all that great. Plus I don't like that I lose floor space with it and risk burning myself when I go past it. The floor space issue kills a lot of options. I got a deal on the electric heater, it's quiet, and it seems to maintain 50-55* pretty good without running constantly. I'll be checking the electric bill but I think it will work out.

Well, I do hope it works for you, but... I don't think you're gonna like that electric bill at all.

Sounds like you have/had an unvented propane unit? I have 2 ceiling mounted, power vented propane heaters (can also use natural gas), and I believe it was the best choice, second to radiant floor heat. I run them both off thermostats set to 40(lowest) when I'm not in there, set to 60 when I am and it takes only 15-20 min to make that 20deg jump.

The Mr.Heater unit fan is a bit louder than the Dayton, but both are whisper quiet when compared to a torpedo-style heater.

And again they're both vented, so no worries about CO2 poisoning, condensation, etc.

I used a torpedo style kero heater after my old hot air trailer furnace died, both were horrible with regard to floor space and fumes. I probably spent 6-700 all in with unit, plumbing, venting, power, tstat, trim, etc on the Mr. Heater unit.
