The three basic levels of kit for Volvo are Kinetic, Momentum and Summum, the latter being better, with several additional kits.

Cold pack? (Heated seats + rear window(s) )
Petrol heater?
Electric sunroof?
Cd changer?
Anti-theft alarm? (demanding service? )

Btw that thing is reeeeeally fussy about the wheel alignment. For it to drive right they have to be spot.on. Oh and be prepared to swap out the front control arms once every few years or so, no aftermarket bits, that's a heavy beast they won't last a year.

What motor do you got?

If you have any problems with it let me know, I've accumulated quite a knowledge about that spesific model.

And do yourself a favor. Look under it from the rear. Do you have square plastic flaps beside your rear tires. If not, get them. They direct the crap/sleet/snow off your rear tires. Drive that thing through a snowstorm and your rear rims will be stuffed full of ice and snow. Not to mention having those annoying judders from dried up mud.

Oh, it's got SE on the rear, so maybe, yeah. Has heated seats. No sunroof. It's a 2.3something engine I think. Lol, yes, "Alarm Service" the guy said every Volvo over 10 years says that

Control arms every couple of years? Don't know what they cost but tbh, for the money, we'll probably just drive it until it breaks, walk away and buy another car.

Snowstorm? Have you been to the UK? Misty drizzle is usually the worst we get, but i'll check her flaps, would be good to know. (Yes, I re-read that).

I will give you a shout if anything small and weird (easy-fix) happens though. BUT I picked up a car, not another project. I have enough maintenance to do with 3 & 1/2 bikes.

Haha no never been to UK, which is why I said snow/mud

Yea the alarm is a well know issue. The unit sits in front of the right front tire behind the inner mudguard or whatever it's called. The internal battery runs out and seeps acid onto the circuit board, it's not meant to be opened but if you're careful and know what you're doing it can be dremel:ed oped but it's a hit and miss whether the board is toast or not.

Well for that money I suppose aftermarket arms would suffice as well The rear bushing with a vertical bolt rips and wears out and the loop around it starts to hit the casing around it when you hit a pothole keeping a well recognizable clunk. When properly maintained they're pretty much tanks capable of over half a million km:s but if the PO has let it go it can get pricy fast.

Good to know, i'll keep an ear-out. But yeah, bought as a cheap transport, 2x trips to see the folks (Nov & Christmas) vs 2x2 train fare and we've already won back half the price of the car, if we get a year of use out of it, it's already paid us back. 92k on the clock, hopefully it's got a bit left in it.

Oh you'll hear it.

92tmi? Hah, what's that, 150tkm, barely broken in! If it wasn't a RHD I'd come take it off you once you're done! That's a three grand car here easy, probly more.

If it's 92tkm, gear up for a timing belt swap...
