I went through a proxy bidder service so I haven’t got a final bill yet. So far I’ve paid $65.29 for taxes and fees. I’ll get another bill after I pick shipping when the item arrives at the warehouse.

Extra shallow sockets, been wanting some for a while and had some credit with my Snappy guy to burn.

I just bought the same set a couple weeks ago. Nice enough tool, but only real advantage over the regular sockets is the pass through design, that comes in handy once in a while. I dig snap-on, but detest the price tag... Doesnt stop me from buying them though.

Yeah, I've ran into a couple situations where these saved my ass before (borrowed from coworkers at the time).

I specifically wanted the metric 12pt but didn't want the stupid low-pro ratchet, and it's the only one of the 4 sizes that they don't sell without it. My guy was nice enough to order it and let me buy just the sockets.

The way I look at it, you don't pay for the tool when you buy fap-off. You buy the warranty and the front door service.
Not to say they don't make good tools, obviously, but there are a handful of companies out there that make equal or better quality. I'd reach for a Wiha screwdriver over a Snap-On one (and in fact my drivers are mostly Wiha), and I would be perfectly happy having a Koken socket set in my box, but if I ever break either of those I have to just buy another one.
If it's a tool that will be used a lot and I might want it rebuilt (like ratchets), something that is used to the limit of it's strength (like sockets) or otherwise breaks frequently (extractors) and I expect to need to replace it, or something that nobody else makes (like these)... I buy it from Snappy and don't mind the cost cause I know I'll get my value out of it.
Low torque stuff like stubby wrenches, or low use items, not much point. My pry bars are Pittsburg... and I think I used the big one, once, to prop something up.

I bought this 36" Baileigh bead roller. It's a piece of shit. I paid for a new machine but recieved a machine that must have been returned by someone else because it was broken for them too.

The bubble wrap wasn't wrapped around anything, just put back in the crate on top of everything. Some of the hardware is rusty, the motor mount bracket is rusty, tons of paint chips and scuff marks everywhere with many patches of bare steel that have started to rust, the hardware bag was kept shut with a ziptie which I'm assuming isn't standard practice, the bag that was supposed to enclose the electrical stuff was cut open, the plastic protector on the switch panel was mostly peeled off, the wire going to the motor appears to have been pinched, and it trips the ground fault of any outlet I try plugging it into.

I thought I'd be safe buying equipment from a big name in the industry but apparently not. This is officially the most expensive paper weight I own.

I already wasn't too thrilled with how the purchase went and then I open the crate to find this mess. If they give me the run around over the phone tomorrow I'll probably be well on my way to earning one of these.
