Exhaust flange is correct, but not a normally sold separate part.

As always thanks Casper! We’ll look into some used other headers and see if I can get lucky and find some.

Keep up the good work and maybe ask an admin to move this to the projects section.

Stout!
Looking good!
Just be careful not to bump into your seat unit inadvertently!

Lol! True! The plan is to weld 1” round bar on the edge of the seat pan to close the gap between the seat and the pan but also not cut myself on the edges.

Still wondering if I should round the back instead of having pointy the way it is. Thoughts?

Good plan, 93gsxr, it’ll add strength and give it a finished look.

I, personally, would blunt the tip of the spear, a bit. Looking at the rest of the bike and the stock tank I see a lot of sweeps, straights and radii transitions, not as many sharp angles. That’s my take. Don’t know your final vision.
If you can keep your seat cantilever thin and minimalist, like you have it, it looks like it’s not even there from the side.

Your paint removal journey reminds me of high school auto body class (back when they had such things) I was in back in the day. Since I didn’t have a project of my own, they put us on repairing and re painting one of the teachers cars, who had been in a fender bender. We counted five different color layers, on an eight year old car!

Keep up the good work!
