Default throttle cable question.

i have a 78 kz650.

2 throttle cables. push/pull
can I rig it up to use a mini bike throttle cable(single cable)
is there a way to convert it to single cable?

carbs do have a heavy spring that flips back so idk why I couldn't. idk

it's fairly common to convert push/pull to pull only

A steering damper dampens steering oscillations. If it starts to leak, it may become a steering dampener. There's no such thing as a dampner.

I reckon it eliminates any chance of a stuck throttle since you have the "push" cable to back you up.

Any reason you want a single cable over push/pull? Lots of those old bikes had helacious return springs that would wear you out. No worries putting on a light spring with a push/pull setup.

you might need a custom cable due to the difference between mounting it on your stock throttle tube housing vs the mini bike one but that's about it

Google "Motion Pro" they make cables for anything.

You learn a lot about people... when they don't get what they want.

I put a Motion Pro Revolver on one of my bikes. Works pretty well, the cam thing is neat, can be had for relatively cheap on ebay.
I couldn't get both cables to lay right and it kept binding halfway through closing, so I took the closing cable out. Works fine without it.
