Default german style fibreglass seat unit

so i have my seat unit ie using it as its what i have bought in with a job lot when i got a blade so its closed in wher the seat goes but ime reluctant to just put a fibreglass seat base over the top of the seat unit relying on the fibreglass not to crack so how have you lads made your seat base and mounted it so its self supporting ime abit of a unit so dont thing that fibre is up to it tbh

Ime also toying with the idea of wether to extend the seat unit up to the tank
or and my prefered choice just make a seat base that goes further forward to meet the tank

Most just use a sheet of self-adhesing foam as a seat for a tail like that.
