Two weeks have passed and haven`t even started the bike so figured since I`m gonna pop into town to get a few things might as well take the Nelli to give it a charge and stuff, damn near didn`t even start, already had the blank screen display and the starter stopped but managed to turn over once more which was just enough.

Good news is bike is working as well as I could expect, bad news is I STILL seem to be leaking oil, good news is it`s so minor not gonna bother, bad news is I cannot pinpoint where it`s coming from. It`s starting to look like the PO had bashed the sealing surfaces up so bad that even though I sanded some worst bits down the aviation cement is too fluid to seal up properly so probly gonna have to reopen the whole damn kaboodle and reseal EVERYTHING with the black stuff. Can`t be arsed with it now though, I`ve pretty much stripped the bike down after every. single. ride so far and most definitely will NOT be doing that now.

oh and probly gonna have to dig out my old torn textile jacket from the cabinet, fukken soaked to the bone after going to three stores wearing the ridiculously thick black n white triumph leather jacket I de-triumphed, gonna die of dehydration wearing that before I reach SMASH

Trip coming in a few weeks so gotta get the tail rack thingy done. Have to tack the parts in place to have even a remote chance of a somewhat fit, pretty much freehanding the whole thing so not gonna fret over minor asymmetry etc.

Family came home so had to call quits, final welding cleanup and paint tonight.

Done. Light rub with sandpaper, a few coats of rim silver and Bob`s your uncle.

One more painted and plugged. Total sum spent, not a damn dime. Yea of course everything is paid for at some point but didn't buy a single nut or bolt spesificly for this one, everything is made from offcuts and bottle bottoms.
