Have to ask Mike at DBD.

I'm guessing water jet because it's not a machined finish. Looks blasted.

Never used green on a motorcycle.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I was goofing off being a dick actually Sadly, the joke didn't land. Notice the lantern logo. Yeah, I was one of those kids growing up.

p.s. - not ragging on the adjusters. those things look sweet

All good.

Gave me a well-needed post-joke laugh.

Glad it's not the universal dickhead logo.

Trying to design a shifter. Lack of planning makes things difficult, sometimes.

Will replace the lower footpeg bracket bolt with a custom bolt/pivot shaft combo.

Looks like there's enough room for the shift lever to pivot under the footpeg.

Next step is to determine where I want the shifter tip, and make a mockup aluminum lever.

Some food for thought -

Ideally you will want the arm that attaches to the gear selector shaft to be mounted vertically(pointing up or down) so the feel of shifting up vs down is the same.

Also, the distance between the center of the GSS and the center of the bolt that attaches the shift linkage rod will determine the length of throw between shifts - farther apart = longer travel arc = more foot movement between shifts. The center-to-center distance there and at the other end between pivots points should be equal, but you can play with those to see what you like. It would be a good idea to include multiple mount points for the footpeg end of the shift linkage rod, to allow you to tune that later.

Couldn't remove the exhaust springs without prying on the CNC exhaust hooks, so I cut off the springs.

I had just purchased the Motion Pro spring puller for these pipes, but it's thick on one side of the hook.

Just got a new (stainless) spring tool. Mail carrier delivered it to the wrong address. Took over a week to get it back. Can hardly wait to try it out.

Bought a drive chain for this bike last week. Was delivered to an address in TX, but I live in CA.
Now waiting for another one.
