The rear master cylinder mounting bracket also needs machining so that it sits parallel to the frame rail. I was going to get it properly done with a clever person with a milling machine, but I'll go old skool and do it myself with grinder / hacksaw / file (and get it all wonky in the process).

Another thing I found were the billet crank covers I'd planned on using at some point. Only problem is, as discovered, the starter cover don;t fit... It must be for a 750 / 600 lump rather than the 1127 that I'll be using...

But I did get the rear brake master cylinder bracket cut down so the two mounting bosses are parallel. Amazingly, it looks like I managed to do it without cutting it on the piss, as it were...

Default Re: The Unforgotten

I needed shorter tie bars for the rear shock, as the adjustable top mount was maxed out, so got some aluminium strip and made some rather plain ones, rather than the dog bone and slotted versions I had that are too long...

Sidepanels and tail unit were treated to a meet 'n greet with various grades of wet 'n dry, the procedure being overlooked by the Magnificent Buster, my time and motion supervisor.
