Minor update:

I think I'm going to fit some Buell XB9 headlights (BIG SURPRISE, Huh?). I called the HD dealer, and they're $80 for the assembly. Just gotta find time to cruise over there and order the kit.

Also, does anyone have any tips on wrapping the headers? What's the best procedure? I think I want to do that, but if it looks ghetto, Ima be pissed.

I'll check this weekend. I'm not sure if they were h4 and the SV was h7 or vice versa.

Our 2 bikes will look like twins since I'm planning to paint red.

Stainless brake lines...

I've found a couple sources for some. Anything you guys recommend, though? Good/bad brands, notes, observations, heckling, anything....

In your search for buell accessories, try joining and looking in the classifieds on buell forums like this one:
http://www.buelletinboard.com/forums/index.php

For taillight options, look through this site:
http://highwayhawk.com/ Look under the "electrical" tab, it takes a while to look through all the stuff they have but they do have a lot. Email them and they'll tell you of dealers near you where you can order their stuff, then get the part # and make a phonecall.

I did some work to the bike today trying to get the Buell dual headlamp mounted. I updated the blog here: http://xj600.blogspot.com. Got some pics of the progress there, and a teaser pic in my build thread.

Ha ha... now that I went through the trouble of getting the Buell lights, I think I found a better way. Gonna ditch the Buells and run something different.

Anybody interested in a Buell XB9 headlight assembly? I paid $80 at the dealer, will sell it for $60 shipped to anybody on here.

Here's what I got so far... Buell XB9 headlight w/ retrofitted H4 bulbs. Now I want to work out a bikini type fairing for it...
Suggestions?
