Pulling my swingarm off the bandit. do I need to do anything more than just remove the dogbone linkages? I have the bike up on the center stand and the wheel is off. It looks like the spring is still under load, but I could just be over cautious.

Can I just pull it apart no problem?

if the shock is still the stock one its not under any real pressure, occasionally stupid big jackup kits can put a little pressure on the shock & winding the spring preload right off will help there, but that's rare

Like 4cups said just take the preload all the way down and you should be able to drop the swingarm out. You'll have to unbolt the shock either at the linkage or the top to remove everything.

To anyone wondering how easy this really is:

Put bike on centre stand,
take off back wheel,
take off rear brake assembly (disconnect the banjo fitting on the caliper)
remove bolt connecting swingarm to dogbones,
remove long bolt running through frame (24mm and 19mm sockets needed),

Only note: lift up lightly on swingarm when taking out the frame bolt.
